We at Macadamia Care want to help make people’s lives easier, and to provide the help that is needed. We provide services in line with the needs and preferences of our clients, and do so in a way that is not invasive or regimental.

We have established Care Centres which offer a homely environment when home-based care is not a viable option anymore. At our Care Centres, we take pride in helping our clients to feel comfortable in their surroundings, with their own special and meaningful possessions around them.

Alternatively, we can provide home-based care where our carers will fall in with established routines. We’ll always advise as to what we believe the best care solution will be. We’re banishing isolation of older people, and focusing on creating safe, healthy social environments, where
belonging and love are the norm.

Individualised People-Centered Care

Home-based care

Home care and companionship services available within your private home (limited to 30km radius from one of our Care Centres). This is a available from as little as one hour per day to 24/7. Services could include getting you ready for the day, assisting with basic chores, preparing simple meals, and doing fun activities together, like playing games, building puzzles, reading, or accompanying you on a walk.

Our Macadamia Care Centres offer care solutions when home-based care is no longer a viable option, and are an environment suitable for those living with dementia. At our Care Centres, our residents can enjoy:

Private en-suite or semi en-suite rooms
Three meals and snacks daily
Daily laundry and housekeeping
Medication administration
Vital signs checked daily
Blood glucose checks as indicated
Daily walks
Social and spiritual activities
Assistance with activities of daily living
Full care assistance as and when needed
Palliative care as required
Dementia care as required.

Sometimes you just need short-term care while recuperating from an operation or illness. Macadamia offers respite care, for as long as you need it.

Services include:

Full board and lodging in a private room, or provided in your own home

assisted living

Some of our villages provide a number of Assisted Living units in close proximity to the Care Centre. These units come with a compulsory set of services that are there to ease a number of daily burdens. These services include:

24-hour emergency response
Laundry twice per week
Housekeeping twice per week
Monitoring of vital signs
Nursing services
Monthly Clinic services (primary health care)
Additional care services as needed

Independent Living

Independent living is for those who are able and happy to live on their own. When there is a need for support they can opt for laundry, cleaning, care, meals, and emergency services according to their needs. Residents are able to socialise and attend activities and events, remaining independent in a safe and sociable environment, with the reassurance of support when needed.
